Book Review – Life Among the Lutherans

Life Among the Lutherans by Garrison Keillor

Augsburg Books, 2010
If you enjoy Garrison Keillor, and if you are Lutheran, or know a Lutheran, then you might enjoy this book.  It is a compilation of various stories from various books and publications unified by the common theme of Lutherans.  It culminates, perhaps fittingly enough, with his (not Luther’s!) Ninety-five Theses, which appeared originally as an extended footnote in his famous Lake Woebegone Days.
As such, many of these might be familiar, but now they’re mostly in one place.  And some of it is still hilarious, many years later.
