Word to the Wise

Thank you to some concerned readers who were worried about my safety after my last post on meeting up with someone to practice some music together.  

Never meet up with anyone without taking some pretty good precautions, though the nature and extent of those precautions may vary somewhat.  Prior to making our arrangements, we e-mailed repeatedly, exchanged professional information (where we worked, not just what we did), and I called his work number, verifying that he was indeed employed where he claimed (which is a governmental agency here in town).  

As luck would have it, I started feeling really awful late yesterday afternoon and had to cancel our get together anyways.  Hopefully we’ll be able to meet up Saturday, and probably at another location since it will be during the day!
